EcoCover made an announcement
today regarding the EcoCover business opportunity
and pricing of the capital equipment purchase to
manufacture EcoCover where you are.
The USA Dollar is under significant pressure versus
other major currencies. Steel prices have also
risen significantly during the past year.
The EcoCover manufacturing plant price was
set almost 2 years ago when the then recent
historical exchange rate between the New Zealand
Dollar and the US Dollar was NZ$1.00 = US$0.57. The
mid-market exchange rate today is NZ$1.00 = US$0.69
and is expected to trend higher.
In addition to these factors, since EcoCover
initially established the plant sale price, the
plant has undergone considerable enhancements that
allow the diverse product range to be produced on
the same production line, including a new automated
control system for running of the plant including
automated start-up and shut down, and other features
to improve the operation of the different processes
and line speeds.
The result of the combination of steel price
increases and the devaluation of the US Dollar will
most likely require a price increase, we anticipate
approximately 7.5%, and the timing could be at any
moment.
